BBM App To Come Pre-loaded in LG G Pro Lite Smartphone

Canadian QWERTY smartphone giant, BlackBerry has reportedly announced saying that its instant messaging app BBM would soon come preloaded on smartphones by LG Electronics.

Reportedly, the BBM app will arrive on other LG phones as standalone apps or through the LG App Manager. LG did not divulge into the matter. However, the app will continue to be available on Google Play.

The struggling smartphone manufacturer which has been going down on market position has been trying to retain its name using its popular BBM service. The company has already been releasing the app on a third-party devices and as expected the response was caught quite more than average from Android and iOS users. In fact, the app hit more than 10 million downloads.

While reports from AllThingsD says that the same app is expected to come preinstalled on the LG G Pro Lite, a 5.5-inch Android-based smartphone unveiled in October. The LG G Pro Lite offers an optimized BBM experience with its large, high quality display and embedded Stylus Pen.

"People across the globe are using BBM to connect with each other and the enthusiasm has been phenomenal," said Andrew Bocking, executive vice president for BBM at BlackBerry. "We're extremely pleased that LG Electronics will help bring their customers a more seamless experience with BBM by preloading the app, starting with the G Pro Lite in key markets."

The Canadian smartphone maker has also agreed to similar deals with Indian smartphone vendors like Zen, Spice, Micromax and Celkon.
